“THIS CRACKA GOTTA GET WHATS COMIN TO EM”

Racial slurs are important right?  We all agree on that.  In the Martin-Zimmerman case I’ve been able to track down only one unequivocal racist:  Trayvon Martin’s “brother”, Stephen Martin (though a Tweeter mentioned that the man is actually Trayvon Martin’s cousin).  Whatever the relationship, the two appear to have been close while Martin was alive.

As of last night, Stephen’s Twitter feed was up and running.  Today, it isn’t.  I may have let the cat out of the bag by retweeting a couple of Martin’s racist tweets.  In one he responded to or re-tweeted someone who wrote “THIS CRACKA GOTTA GET WHATS COMIN TO EM”.

Here is a screen capture of the search for Stephen Martin’s twitter feed which used the handle RIP_TRAY9:

Now, make of this what you want.  If a person believes that their family member was gunned down by a person of another race because of racism, his use of racial pejoratives is understandable.  But if animus is shown there, we have to wonder where else it shined through?  It’s roots existed previous to the statement.  Given the closeness of these two, did it also infect Trayvon Martin’s thoughts?  Could it have fueled Martin’s anger at being followed by George Zimmerman, causing Martin to confront Zimmerman, punch him in the nose, and begin slamming his head into the pavement?

Twitter has other information for any journalist willing to stick their neck out and look around (which is to say, none).  Another of Martin’s close friends, named K. Mitch and with the Twitter handle “selfmade_kutta”, mentions one experience he shared with Trayvon Martin.  It involves the same “JetMan_Twin” as Stephen Martin’s tweet above.  Jet Man has also deleted his Twitter account.   Link and screen cap:

Boys being boys, I guess.  But all of this is relevant in light of the media’s portrayal of George Zimmerman as a violent racist.  The media jumped on Zimmerman’s short rap sheet – resisting arrest and a domestic incident with his fiance which ended up with his face being scratched.  The shooting of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman happened, and the question is whether or not it was justified.  To help figure out whether or not it was justified, we have to turn to character analysis of both parties.  But the analysis has only been made based on the premise that Zimmerman was the aggressor and Martin was the victim.  What if the opposite were true?  What if Zimmerman set the wheels in motion but soon retreated from his search for Martin at which point Martin attacked Zimmerman.  So Zimmerman made the first move and the last move, but there were many moves in between.

So we have Trayvon Martin whose “rap sheet” includes a fight around Thanksgiving, punching a bus driver, getting kicked out of school (reportedly for having an empty sack of weed), and paintballing cars.  With behaviors like that – all bunched together and the mark of a young man who is burgeoning into a hoodlum – it is easy to make the case that Martin became an aggressor who attacked a man he didn’t know was armed.  All of that and he was very close to a guy who – even knowing that this case is under a lot of scrutiny – is calling for justice for the “cracka” George Zimmerman.  Do the math.

Since there doesn’t seem to be any direct eye witnesses to the actual trigger pull, and since Zimmerman has obvious signs that he was attacked and most likely acted in self defense, and since Treyvon is dead and can’t provide testimony, there cannot be a case against the guy.

What the fuck you going to bring him in for? Hell, these fucking tweets need to make his brother complicit in this obvious hate crime attack. Arrest the brother for discrimination.

It would be funny in sort of a morbid way if he stole the skittles and iced tea but I wouldn’t use a lack of a receipt as proof. I’ve thrown out every single receipt as I walk out the door from 7-11′s or gas stations.

    fascist:

that argument is silly. i read it thinking that the author is trolling those who are siding with Zimmerman.

  4. Alte 03/26/2012 at 2:00 pm

That was a “fake news” story.

I don’t think I’ve seen one black person say this shooting might be self defense. I always find it funny when all black people want to be judged as individuals but when it comes from a member of their group doing anything wrong it’s easy to predict with 99.9% accuracy where they stand. I’d say I could probably predict white views at 60-70% if I had a little more input but the only info I need to predict a black views on this issue are race. If you don’t want your group profiled, don’t be so predictable.

Besides being “suspended from Krop High School in Miami after being found with an empty bag of marijuana” is a joke. You can’t have an empty bag of weed unless it has a note that says “this bag intended for marijuana.” The bag either has weed in it or it doesn’t. If it has little stems and remnants of weed then that’s still weed.

Zimmerman has no criminal conviction record. He does have a criminal arrest record for two minor things.

As far as the domestic violence charge an ex girl friend leveled at him, he’s the one who had visible signs of domestic violence, scratches on his face. She didn’t. It looks like she just filed a tit for tat charge against him after he charged her. She said “the cat did it”. Yeah right.

The resisting arrest charge was non violent resisting. He was in a bar fight which it sounds like someone else started and he didn’t think he should be arrested accordingly. The charges were dropped after he took an anger management class, big woop. The didn’t charge him with assault.

That shitty cop blog is not serious. They aren’t funny, either.

“If you don’t want your group profiled, don’t be so predictable.”

There was a black commenter on Spearhead who did say he didn’t care about Trayvon Martin. He thinks black women are a much bigger problem in society.

How the media can keep spinning this in favor of Zimmerman’s being arrested is just amazing to me. Well they whipped up a furor and aren’t backing down.

The following is the sum total of the credible evidence that I’m aware of and I’ve done a lot of looking.

There was only one eye witness to the fight, John. He saw Trayvon on top of Zimmerman straddling him punching him repeatedly in the face with a bloody face, while GZ screamed repeatedly for help. John then locked his porch, ran upstairs to call 911 and while on the way heard a shot, then saw Trayfon lying to GZ’s side, face down, apparently dead. He didn’t see how the fight began. GZ says he was panicked that he’d be killed. The screams are on a 911 tape and are screams of panic.

There is no credible evidence that contradicts that. That’s what GZ said happened from the point where John saw and heard what happened onward. Further the physical evidence which the police found at the scene support this account. GZ’s face and the back of his head were bloodied. He had grass stains on his back and his back was wet (the grass was wet). Trayvon had no face or other injuries other than the gunshot wound.

A woman witness thinks she heard (not saw) things which contradict this and was quite vehement about that to CNN but she’s mistaken in her conclusions, not in what she heard. She heard the rather high pitched screams which she assumed must have been from the “little kid” Trayvon yet his father in listening to the 911 tapes said that was not the voice of his son. Two of Zimmerman’s friends one of whom is black said that was his voice. The woman witness also head no “sounds of fighting” other than the screaming so assumed there must have not been a fight before GZ shot Trayvon. That’s also an unwarrented conclusion. The sounds of punching are a lot less loud than that of screaming.

As for how the fight began, Zimmerman says he followed Trayvon in his SUV then got out of it to talk to him. The 911 operator is not a cop and has no authority to tell Zimmerman not to follow TM. In fact he didn’t, he said “we don’t need you to do that”, I think largely out of fear that GZ might put himself in danger not knowing he was armed. TM’s girlfriends says she was on the cell phone with TM just before the fighting began. She heard TM demand of GZ “why are you following me?” to which GZ responded “what are you doing around here?” Both repeated the same questions probably in TM’s case in a more heated way. Then TM ended the cell call.

GZ says as soon as their conversation started getting heated, he turned to go back to his SUV to avoid a fight. He was ten punched by TM and knocked to the ground. Then GZ gives the same story that eye witness John tells except he adds that TM repeatedly bashed his head against the sidewalk first, maybe before John started watching after he heard GZ’s screams. The blood on the back of GZ’s head backed that up.

I have seen NO credible evidence that contradicts GZ and eyewitness John’s accounts of what happened, or TM’s girlfriends bit of evidence either. Yeah she concluded that GZ “must have” started the physical fight because he ended the cell call abruptly but that’s just as consistent with him getting mega pissed about being he thinks profiled and “dissed” and punching GZ first. There’s actually no evidence that GZ punched TM at all.

It’s far from clear that GZ used the word “coon” on the 911 tape. He uttered a word that’s about that long maybe, but really is indiscipherable. Could have been goon or something else. Some people esp. blacks are just reading into it what they want. There’s no record of GZ using that kind of language. Besides for something to be a hate crime there has to be an underlaying crime to begin with which was motivated by racial animus. There was no underlying crime.

To me this is an open and shut case. All the rest is spin and twisting of evidence and unwarrented conclusions. The MSM have been shockingly biased in their reporting of this, and shockingly misleading. CNN has been the worst.

If anyone has any information at odds with this that they’ve really looked into the actual primary source for, I’d really like to know it.

Oh and Chuck in an earlier post uncovered twitter and facebook evidence that Trayvon has gotten into at least two fights since Thanksgiving. Seems to be a hothead at least.

  11. Lara 03/26/2012 at 3:32 pm

The tone of the mainstream media’s coverage is starting to change. It is more sympathetic to Zimmerman.

  12. Peter Blood 03/26/2012 at 3:40 pm

    Thank you, George Zimmerman.

  13. RomanCandle 03/26/2012 at 4:13 pm

I love how nobody here got trolled by that evidently fake news story!

Well, except for the OP I suppose. But everyone else was too smart.

Chuck’s blog is great because he’s able to keep his cool even when discussing hot-button issues. Looks like his commentariat is following his lead.

Funny but no matter what new information arises try talking to a Lefty about this. They are all emotion zero logic and will cling to the bitter end as to what they FEEL happened.

    They are some sick puppies.

This whole mess has got me worried. I’m worried that half a dozen guys who look like Zimmerman are going to get shivved, and that, since the guys who look (a little) like Zimmerman to a hotheaded Black Panther could be Albanian, Arab, Mexican, Italian, or whatever, that this is going to be spiral into some kind of neo-Hobbesian war of all the ethnic groups against each other.

  17. nick digger 03/26/2012 at 9:38 pm

Olave, in your scenario, it wouldn’t be all groups against each other. It would be all “olive” groups against the blacks.

I suspect that the real goal of the leftist media, in supporting Martin, is not to inflame black-white relations as much as it is to further erode self-defense and “stand your ground” laws, and further disarm the population.

  20. Elspeth 03/27/2012 at 11:16 am

as much as it is to further erode self-defense and “stand your ground” laws, and further disarm the population.

This is 100% correct. Sharpton and Co. have their agenda. The media is after the tightening og gun laws down here. Period.

Additionally, I would much rather see the good Rev’s. marching i the streets of Chicago on behalf of the little girl caught in the gang crossfire a week ago than rather down here stirring up trouble. They are not fooling anyone with this shameless attempt to make themselves appear relevant.

Further, I agree with this black minister that the escalation needs to stop and the investigation needs to be allowed to go forward without the race hustlers getting involved

    http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/26/former-naacp-leader-accuses-sharpton-and-jackson-of-exploiting-trayvon-martin/

I fully support what Alte wrote on our blog, which was much less inflammatory and far more principled than most of what I’ve seen coming from the right.

As for the notion that every black person automatically assumes this case wasn’t self-defense, that is also not true. The only comment I’ve made on the case at all was made right here in fact, and was a direct response to the idea that this kid, whatever he was, somehow deserved to be shot simply for having “black attitude”. I believe that’s how it was phrased.

Rather than assume that Zimmerman was wrong, or that Martin was wrong, I’d rather see the thing play out in the justice system. Unfortunately, the circus has escalated to the point that it may be all but impossible for a fair hearing of this case to be had.

Meanwhile, a young girl in Chicago is dead, a result of black on black crime, and the “leaders” of the community could care less. Too busy trying to get out the black vote for their inept President.

Meanwhile, the President is making promises to Putin to sacrifice our security, and the so-called “freedom fighters” on the right could care less. Too busy trying to make sure we know Martin was a thug.

Everyone is making an ass out of themselves here from where I sit.

I HAVE LOST ALL INTEREST IN THIS CASE.

    This country is an embarrassment.

I don’t remember any great comments by Alte. Where is it?

I have conveyed the above suspicions to my cell, and they are alarmed that so many people know that our goal is “to erode self defense…and further disarm the population.” Some were pleased that the term “further” was used. It implies that some disarming has taken place. Unfortunately, as I pointed out to them, the Trayvon Martin incident only applies to the “population” murdering unarmed people. Armed resistance might be more successful, so let’s make sure the weapons are furnished to everyone in the “stand your ground” states. No one seemed concerned about a vendetta against people who looked like Zimmerman because all these “brown” people look alike.

  25. quik 04/27/2012 at 11:43 am

No jury in their right mind can convict on murder 2! NO WAY. As soon as he enacted the self defense with obvious signs of trauma, there should be no charges. I think there needs to be a investigation of the prosecutor. After all she wants to try a 12 y.o. as an adult.
