1. A blogger named Matt Forney smacked Paul Elam around for being a sensitive wuss after ol’ Snot and Spittle became angered at a PSA featuring actress Katherine Heigl was deemed misandrist. Forney put MRA into perspective by pointing out that the most vocal wing of the movement plays into the victimhood trap. Elam responded to Forney in typical fashion.
2. A dog rescue caught on film in Detroit. The film is part of a documentary supporting firefighters in the city that is burning, figuratively, as we speak. How telling is the interaction between the dog owner and the firefighters? I’m sure the man will now aspire to become a firefighter or a public servant of some sort.
3. Changes in America’s grocery budget. Processed foods make up a larger portion; meat has declined over time as meat has become less expensive. On that note, one chart shows the decline of meat prices over the past three decades.
4. Baby dies after contracted herpes from mohel during ritual Orthodox circumcision. Author uses this to make a case against circumcision – or at least suggests that this would fuel the anti-circ movement – but it actually lends support to the anti-suck-the-blood-from-babies’-penises-to-preserve-the-Old-Way movement.
