The Tinley Park 5 have obtained attorneys:
“I don’t know if it’s hard or not for Ms. Alvarez to represent white supremacists,” said defense attorney Aaron Goldstein, who is representing Jason Sutherlin. “I know I don’t represent white supremacists.”
The six defense attorneys, who work for five different firms, said they volunteered to represent the men even though none of the defendants can afford legal services.
Defense attorney Stuart Smith said he agreed to represent Tucker because he is sympathetic to the anti-racist movement.
“I’m doing this for free because it’s the right thing to do,” he said.
Defense attorney Larry Jackowiak, who is representing Stuck, said his firm took the case because it believes in fighting racism.
“It was an easy decision to make,” he said.
Most of these pro-bono social justice-seeking attorneys at least pretend that their ultimate goal is to ensure due process. But these attorneys are quite explicit in their reasons for supporting the Tinley Park 5. They just don’t like white supremacists. They don’t even seem to be denying that their clients were involved in the attack, merely that white supremacists deserve to be attacked.
It should also be made clear that the state attorney wouldn’t be “representing” the attacked white supremacists. They’re representing the people of the State of Illinois which includes some of the bystanders and staff who were injured in the Tinley Park incident.

That’s alright. We must accept reality as it is. It is not about right or wrong, but power and who has it. I won’t damn them for using theirs. No quarter asked, no quarter given.

I’d say I’m somewhat sympathetic to the WN arguments (people do like to be by their own people) but I agree with Chuck. The best and the brightest won’t go near them with a ten foot pole. The best and the brightest already can and do avoid minorities. If the elites do go racist it won’t be because WN convinced them.
There’s an angle to this story that I haven’t seen anyone comment on.
Even granting that hammer-wielding street fighters are going to be rougher than the average SWPL, there’s still something unusual about the Sutherlin brothers. If their mugshots, their Scots-Irish surname and the bits of family history that have come out in the media are any indication, they’re a close-knit family of poor whites living on the margin between blue-collar respectability and petty crime. When this sort of clan shows up in the national news it’s usually as small-time bank robbers, and when they get involved in politics it’s typically on the dumber end of the far right.
So what were the Sutherlins doing in ARA? They don’t seem like the kind of family who would get involved with “anti-racism” for SWPL status-seeking reasons, much less an intellectual commitment to the dogmas of cultural Marxism and blank slate theory.
And sure enough, it turns out their reason for joining ARA was closer to home:
The Sutherlin brothers became interested in combating fascism while growing up in diverse family in Bloomington, a predominantly white city that is home to Indiana University, Domke said. Though they are white, their half sister’s father is black, he said.
“When you grow up in a multiracial family in Indiana, I think that can open your eyes to the problem of racism in this country,” Domke said.
I suspect that their involvement with an “anti-racist” street gang had less to do with ideology than with simple clan loyalty. Mama may be a mudshark, and sis may be a mulatto, but kinfolk is still kinfolk, and if defending the family honor means throwing down with “racists” at a suburban restaurant, then pass the hammer.
Chuck, whites have been divided into two groups for a long time. Those that work with and benefit from the system, and those that don’t. If you are on the outside you are on your own. White working-class community building is nothing new. Ever heard of the Elks, the Moose, the Eagles? Pre-New Deal working class whites banded together out of necessity. If you got killed or disabled logging or mining, your employer sure as hell didn’t give a shit. With blacks and Hispanics sucking the treasury dry, that time has come again. what also isn’t mentioned there is that their dad dabbled in the neckbeard anarchist movement. i think that has a lot more impact on whether or not they’re “anti-racist” activists. i have a mixed family as well, but none of my family members were politically active.

Demographics is key. At the moment you stand on the edge of the precipice. If you halted immigration now then you would still be able to basically retain America’s historical cultural identity
There is a political battle to be fought now. There are good commonsense reasons against immigration which can appeal to voters (and politicians) now.
You aren’t making those arguments, rather you are inventing imaginary names for governments which will never exist and fantasising about some future payback.

This is silly. Immigration is already incredibly unpopular even among life long Democrats. Lots of politicians agree. Many politicians come from the same cultural background that produced their anti-immigration constituency.
Voting, democracy means nothing. It doesn’t actually produce results. Immigration will continue apace so long as those who control the money wish it to, and likewise with the rapidly legalizing yet incredibly unpopular gay marriage.
WNs don’t have to convince anyone that immigration is bad. They are already convinced. That doesn’t mean anything though because political power in a ‘democracy’ does not come from voting; and even if it did people rarely act from pure ideological impulses and are heavily influenced by material incentives. There are plenty of ostensibly conservative business owners that oppose illegal immigration rhetorically while simultaneously employing them.

Power is indeed truth however in order to maintain civilization larger than kin group and a few allies we choose to pretend otherwise. This effort to be able to pretend is the basic glue that allows higher trust societies. The erosion the overt and covert misdeeds of the powerful can easily reach critical mass. Its not that the powerful get special perks, everyone older than about 6 knows that, its the amount gets to the point where the kayfabe ceases to works. Its too unfair to be ignored.
