2. Some support for Jared Diamond’s GGS theory. Scientists at Stanford found that “cultural homogeneity” persists across latitude versus longitude. Because climate is more a function of this latitude rather than longitude, wide countries or continents are better able to diffuse culture compared to tall, skinny, longitudinal nations/continents.
3. I plan to write more on this, but acrimony within the Atheist/Skeptic community has been brewing since Rebecca Watson’s “Elevator Gate”. These dweebs are still hashing it out and discussing whether or not Atheist conferences should take extra measures to fight harassment against women. I’m just curious how much danger and fear neckbeard atheists could actually foster among female atheist attendees at these conferences.
