What Wall Street Women Want

Some here may enjoy what’s going on at Wall Street Oasis.  I previously linked to a post written by a Wall Street woman who ranked WS occupations by dateability.  She determined that traders offered the best mix of NSA fun for the modern career girl.

A man who works in private equity and works on the side as a dating coach for Asian bankers responded in a post that will appeal to Gamesmen.  In one passage, he provides anecdota:

“I like my current boyfriend but I am not attracted to him. I have been seeing a few other men on the side whom I find pretty attractive and excited to be with.” I knew a couple of banker chicks in NYC, who are doing exactly this. They feel that their current boyfriends are beta-males (good providers) while they look for fun with alpha-males.

A side note here:  I’d estimate that, say, three years ago people didn’t speak in terms of alpha and beta males.  Those who feel responsible for the proliferation of this term and its increasingly common usage can take the appropriate amount of credit.

“Those who feel responsible for the proliferation of this term and its increasingly common usage can take the appropriate amount of credit.”

    *preen*

next step: popularizing classic chateau lingo such as –

    the rationalization hamster
    the cock carousel
    female hypergamy
    femcunt (when appropriate)
    manboob (ditto)
    soft harem
and the fan favorite — the matron-vixen line.

then we sit back and watch it all burn.

Like a secret handshake that’s too cool to not know, once people swallow the meme, it’s a short step to reconsidering pretty lies.

Who said social engineering wasn’t fun.

Matron-vixen line – oddly, haven’t heard this one enough.

rationalization hamster is gaining traction. hypergamy as well.

Before I discovered game, that slutty banker’s casual cheating attitude would have terrified me. Now that I actually have a pretty good idea what women really desire, it just makes me laugh.

can I get a definition of soft harem?

  6. C.R. 08/09/2012 at 4:11 pm

soft harem (noun): 1) a harem populated by chubby chicks 2) a sociosexual situation in which a group of women, on their own recognizance, form a harem-like pattern for the benefit of a singular alpha male. The soft harem is implied and organic rather than organized and planned. Members of the soft harem are often unaware of the existence of other members within their own harem, although increasingly dominant alpha males can get away with this shit.

OK can I get a definition of “the matron-vixen line”?

since heartiste may not come back by here i’ll attempt. it’s a play on the Mason-Dixon line. not sure if he’s implying some sort of difference between the North and South or not. perhaps women devoted to motherhood and those devoted to carefree sex lives which is a red state-blue state thing.

  9. Heartiste 08/09/2012 at 4:28 pm

    “it’s a play on the Mason-Dixon line.”

yup. it’s a slam poetry spin on the wall, and the hitting thereof.

Just please don’t popularize “gamesman.” It smells of nerd.

  11. E. Rekshun 08/09/2012 at 5:41 pm

    Don’t forget “mangina.”

  12. Lara 08/09/2012 at 6:04 pm

I find it odd that the term “hypergamy” is not more widely used. It certainly is widely practiced.

Just please don’t popularize “gamesman.” It smells of nerd.

    Agreed.

  14. C.R. 08/09/2012 at 6:46 pm

it’s all essentially nerd/geek speak anyway. i don’t think any of these terms are used outside of the internet. i don’t think i’ve ever said or will ever say ‘mangina’, ‘cock carousel’, or ‘rationalization hamster’ out loud. these terms are mostly jargon and it’s all nerdlore in one way or another. imo, game is just revenge of the nerds in the first place. but the point is taken. within the internet, gamesman sound nerdier than the other terms.

  15. Heartiste 08/09/2012 at 7:43 pm

“i don’t think i’ve ever said or will ever say ‘mangina’, ‘cock carousel’, or ‘rationalization hamster’ out loud.”

i’ve never said them out loud either. writing allows for a certain exploratory degree of flourish that real life conversation does not. i doubt nabokov spoke like humbert humbert in real life. lolita is still a great read.

“imo, game is just revenge of the nerds in the first place.”

nerds may gravitate to it, but that doesn’t mean game is essence of nerd. game, aka manufactured charisma, is just the scientific breakdown and practical application of age-old seductive truths that have been known to the ancients and beyond.

Ancient lore, brought to you courtesy of manginas and their disgusted female masters everywhere.

  17. Camlost 08/10/2012 at 3:43 pm

If you google rationalization hamster you will see it mentioned quite a bit outside of the HBD sphere. Maybe it will catch on wider…

“Hamsterbate” from Mentu was a pretty good one. He was referring to giving women the female equivalent of blue balls. They love to yammer about stuff, so in the middle of it you get up and walk away and you do it over and over. So she eventually will get frustrated and have to go in her room and hamsterbate. I use it to troll on women’s sites. Any rationalization is hamsterbation. It is a general putdown when they utter stupid crap like “Men are divorcing their faithful wives and trading them in for younger models”. Nonsense. 80% of divorces are filed by women and they have a divorce fantasy. That is what the Dalrock blog talks about today.

If you don’t read University of Man then you should, and RationaleMale, and Dalrock. Along with ChateauHeartiste, they are to me the top blogs in the Red Pill manosphere. Rollo Tomassi from RationaleMale is a gifted writer. He is trained in psychology and uses clear academic basis in his writing. Roissy is the cleaver/sledgehammer in the manosphere. Rollo is the surgeon. He cuts deep and no woman can come close to refuting what he says. Dalrock is sort of a Christian Pro-Marriage guy but he bashes the hypergamistic behavior of the 30something women. But him being pro-marriage tends to allow him to get after women where the others get attacked as “hate speech”. I tend to identify more with Rollo because I think marriage is for suckers but Dalrock has some really great essays. University of Man is a PUA gamer blog and is more humorous than the others. Heartiste is sort of the father of these sites and always an excellent “GoTo” blog of this sort.

Also key terms are “unplugged” where you disconnect from MSM media and become what is called “Red Pill Aware”. I think the most famous quote of the Manosphere is from Roissy, “Women scream the loudest when you get closest to the truth”.
