Looking for reasons for this killing, the two victims are young white people though I doubt that race has anything to do with the shooting. Looking at Tyler’s twitter account, he doesn’t seem to express any racial hostility. He seems to have hated being a Marine, though his complaints don’t seem too far from what we’d expect. He writes a lot about women, working out, and his diet. This might be a case of beta rage. The shooting might have been some sort of lover’s triangle, but the young man that was killed by Tyler has clues on Facebook that he might have been gay. Something else noteworthy though, the man killed by Tyler wrote on Facebook that his nickname was “Nigga Beatdown” but there are no other clues to indicate that he was overtly racist.

read my thought process there. first, i don’t think you get to set the parameters for the debate. we don’t have to wait for “overwhelming evidence” at this point to determine how we should characterize this crime. of course my first thought was the racial angle. that’s always the first assumption. but besides the racial factor there is the fact that the guy killed a young woman. if it was racially motivated i wouldn’t expect the guy to go after a chick. i looked all the way through that guy’s tweets and didn’t see any sort of racial hostility. otoh, i did see him pining and whining about women. he also seemed like a David Alexander type black dude and it seems more likely that he was rejected by the girl.

Of course I don’t. Neither does anyone here, nor most anyone worth reading for that matter. We are dissidents, and as such we are not allowed anywhere near the place where parameters for the debate are set. But as I wrote maybe as far back as two years ago, you have the qualities that may get you close to that place, and the decency and honesty that deems you in my eyes as someone worth supporting in that goal. But you also have intellectual vulnerabilities that make you corruptible: mainly, its your wanting to play nice. That is both a strength and a vulnerability, and this is why I use strong language in cases like above.

My reasoning was that if a white person shot two black people, there would be open speculation that it was racially motivated. So we should do the same for them. There is also the added reality that black people are far angrier at white people than the reverse.

The LA Times scared people about potential arson attempts to get insurance for homes that dropped in value 30%, and then switched it around to say home fires were because of meth labs w/o evidence. There is no auditor of our media, which is a huge detriment when covering long term stories that cannot be reduced to one 30 second clip or article.
I agree with Lara here. IMO It was almost certainly racially motivated . Of course if a non White ran down the street screaming racial epitaphs and screaming “I’ll kill all Whites!” and it was on public cameras and the Web and proven , the media claim it was something else. It doesn’t fit the narrative or the political urges of that class.
