Gucci Little Piggy

Kicking. Squealing.

1.  Two pieces on L.A. mayor and DNC MC Antonio Villaraigosa, at VDARE and Daily Caller.  My favorite facts about the mayor are that he graduated from a sham law school called People’s College of Law and failed the bar exam multiple times, is in allegiance to La Raza and was a campus leader for MEChA, a Chicano-Aztec heritage student union whose goal, essentially, is to reclaim California from the Estados Unidos.  Sadly, this guy won’t actually ever be a major presidential contender though it is bad enough that he’s a major face at the DNC.

2.  The male onesie.  Game over.

3.  Some twit has a piece up over at Jezebel titled “A call to arms for decent men.”  The  implication is that if I don’t drop everything to combat mean guys talking trash to women online and in the video gaming community that I’m not a decent man.  Priorities fuck face.

4.  At Reuters, Reihan Salam on the strange spot Democrats find themselves on tax policy.  They learned with Walter Mondale that asking the middle class to pay higher taxes is political suicide.  So they’re stuck relying on tax hikes for the rich which, to cover their various social programs, would certainly hamper the economy.

5.  Peter Schiff asks DNC delegates about corporate profits.

An impressive level of cognitive dissonance going on there at that Jezebel article: what looks like a badly aging bearded geek obsessed with vidya gaems trying to tell other people to “grow up” and lecture then on “how to be a man”

If you write for Jezebel.com, you’re not a real man

If he really wanted to reach wayward young men, why did he put it on Jezebel? That’s like Mitt Romney taking out ads on BET.

Like most modern lefties, he’s a lot more concerned with appearing to care to right-minded people than actually doing anything.

When I read male onesie my first thought was of the wool all in one union suit of the 19th centry worn by men like Jim Bowie, Jesse James, and Wyatt Earp. People you would’nt call pussies. Then I clicked the link. I literally sighed.
Boys used to ware small versions of their father’s garments. Now fashion designers make little girl clothes for grown males. Yep, game over.

“Tell them and their friends that their behavior is not acceptable, that real men don’t agree with them, that they are in the minority. “Say these words into your headset: “I thought you were a man, not a whiny, insecure little boy.” Don’t argue or engage with them. Never answer their questions or remarks, just repeat your disgust and disapproval. Assume the absolute moral superiority to which you are entitled over a bully or a criminal.”

? you’re still arguing with the person.
This is the same dumb rationale people use when talking about combating sexual harassment, “just show your displeasure with them and they’ll stop”.

Playing COD today and a guy on the enemy team was frustrated because he lost and started throwing out racial slurs.
Members of my team replied with shouts of “U MAD, U MAD” and what was his response ? more racial slurs.
Me and my teammates response ? mute him.
Why should i report him when he wasn’t the first nor the last racist i’ll encounter ?, he’s banned ? yes one down thousands more to go.

Game Over? So some fag invented some faggy clothes worn by some fag models at a fashion show attended by fags and fag hags; prompting a few fags to purchase them from Homo Depot and wear them for a fabulous night out at the bath house. It’s not the end of the world, unless your father starts wearing them. And even then, it’s only the end of your world.

Schiff was just mean. I mean, it’s assumed that most democrats are economic morons – they’d be hard-pressed to create a viable economic strategy using all the resources of human history and the net summary of all human knowledge – so doing this to a bunch of convention nobodies was just unfair.

Almost everyone thinks there’s a limitless amount of plush out there, and the reason they don’t have any has to be because someone else took it away from them.

It’s not rational. It’s not reasonable. But it’s how more or less everyone thinks.

    if you have more, gimme!

nick, “game over” was intentional hyperbole. i figured ppl would understand that.

    gorby,

to tell you the truth, since i read too much of the press written by “the other side” i had started to believe that their base was more sophisticated than this. it was a good reminder that they are not. i’m certain that the GOP delegates weren’t as retarded though i’ll admit that many GOP supporters are pretty dumb.

  9. Gorbachev 09/07/2012 at 12:02 am

Villaraigosa is awesome. I hope the Dems keep him around. It’s like painting a huge target on themselves.

The pollyanna thinking that passes for economics among dems is beyond wishful. It’s full-blown denial of reality. The average dem voter I know thinks that by raising corporate tax rates a little bit, the deficit will be gone. If we taxed corporate profits at 100%, we couldn’t dent the deficit, let alone the debt. And none of these people have the faintest clue where money and value actually come from. I know many otherwise intelligent people who think the government just makes money and is greedy for not giving everyone a lot of money to play with.

Schiff was just grandstanding. Asking DNC delegates to make intelligent comments on the economy is an old game. Most can’t even make the distinction between private and public sector jobs. Money is some magic thing that wafts down on a breeze, floating naturally in the air.

They really do think like this.
