5.  Commenter soren points me to a two year old piece at Ms. Magazine written by a feminist who tries to rationalize her lack of attraction to men shorter than herself.  This is a perfect example of where what is called “social construction” is rooted in biologically-important distinctions.  There is a biological advantage to height for men and it has become a socially valuable characteristic.  Its social importance may now be an amplification of the biological importance but the distinction isn’t entirely rooted in social brainwashing.

6.  I have to laugh.  The blogger OzyFrantz from Good Men Project is trying to drum up attention for a petition being circulated to get the name of Columbus Day changed to Exploration Day.  The petition was begun on a White House-affiliated website, and if it reaches 25,000 signatures President Obama will take a look-see at it.  Two weeks after its created the petition has just under 900 signatures.

I’d actually prefer this… there would be a diversity of dead white male colonialist to learn about with maybe a little less baggage. Marco Polo, Prince Henry the Navigator, Columbus, Magellan, Lewis and Clark, Lindbergh, and Neil Armstrong… etc. etc. etc.

“Atheist-feminist writer is calling it quits because she’s tired of getting picked on.”

There is not one sentence in that article that doesn’t include the word “I”.

I really don’t know what to say about someone like the atheist-feminist who did anything for attention then collapsed when she didn’t get the exact kind of attention she was looking for. This kind of drama reminds me of New Kids on the Block, of all things, who sought mega-fame and when they got it obsessed over “haters” and started creating bad music because of that, causing their whole house of cards to collapse.

It seems that all of the so-called anti-feminist and anti-lesbian hate crimes were staged for sympathy, and all of the threats climate scientists received disappear under examination.

    Could this be any different?

I think the attention she is claiming is probably real. The Internet atheist community is overwhelmingly made up of incel male nerds of the “tits or gtfo” variety who don’t put a lot of stock in the opinions of a woman just because she is a woman, and they aren’t happy about how ‘atheism’ is the new crusading grounds for the ultra-progressive manhating feminist crowd and their white knights like PC Meyers.

Chuck, you took some heat (and dished it back too) from guys like Ferd who didn’t see yet to eye with you on your laissez faire philosophy about the rich.

Does your approval of “The American Conservative” article mean that your views became less libertarian, or at least less sympathetic of the mega-rich?

Immigrant employee of a big company makes terroristic threats.

This info should be spread far and wide.

Indeed, people should make HR departments in both private and public organizations aware of this and make them aware that the organization could face large lawsuits by employees and the family of employees if such occurs again.

The reason for making HR aware, in writing, is discovery. If HR has been informed of employee concerns, and did nothing, discovery will be a nightmare …

    3. This was the gal who Roosh hit back at hard after she came after him as I recall. At the time, she was quite adamant that she could care less that various manosphere denizens disapproved of her. Obviously she has now changed her tune by quitting in a huff.

Dr. Dre was right: bitches can’t hang with the street.

    5. OzyFrantz was the blogger who deleted all of our comments on her blog simply because we politely disagreed with her, correct? As I said before, that is very telling. Like a petty dictator of a banana republic, these people simply cannot abide criticism.

Feminism is wrong about pretty much everything, which is why I think it’s kind of pointless to even discuss using vocabulary that feminism has dreamed up over 50 years.

What is “gender” and “gender roles” as distinct from sex traits or personal traits? Feminists are happy to lump these all together under the term gender, but that is simply unscientific. The more we learn the more characteristics seem to be driven by genetics and not the implied “socially constructed” “gender roles.” How can we possibly know what’s “socially constructed” before we understand what the effects of biology are? (And how can we rail against “gender roles” when there’s effectively infinite possible gender roles, assuming we go with the feminist ideology that they’re purely “socially constructed”? That brings up the question of what “gender” we’re even talking about when discussing social situations.)

I actually found some pretty interesting videos condemning Feminism the other day on YouTube (http://youtu.be/vp8tToFv-bA) but when this woman gets to the point of condemning “gender roles” I just shake my head.

That feminist-atheist says she’s quitting because she routinely gets called “slut, prude, ugly, fat, feminazi, retard, bitch, and cunt.” And she claims she can’t stand this harassment anymore.

But in the feminist worldview slut and prude are just means of restricting female sexuality, ugly and fat are socially constructed definitions of beauty, feminazi and retard are ad hominems used by bitter losers with small penises, and bitch and cunt are terms used by the patriarchy to restrict female power.

So none of those “insults” mean anything in the feminist worldview – they’re just social constructs intended to impede female progress. Why would a believing feminist find these terms to be insulting, rather than just the expression of an oppressive society that does not reflect reality?

Rifleman: “Here’s the 5’7″ feminist with a hankerin’ for tall dudes”

I found that photo yesterday and there’s probably an entire blog post to be written. But not about why she prefers dudes of any height. What needs to be looked at is why very unattractive women: 1). Are exhibitionist about their “high standards” because it’s a way to make their SMV appear higher than it really is and 2). Usually have nastier personalities than nice looking women because they’re angry the world ignores them.

Her post is actually not about height pe se, but the two above points. She only used height because it’s an acceptable prejudice. If it were the 1950s, she have picked black men and if it were the less politically correct Reagan Era, fat men would have been her target.

  16. Lara 09/10/2012 at 6:03 am

Women are initially more attracted to tall men. Once you are in a relationship, it is your character that matters more. Short men should be careful not to make too many self deferential comments about their height. They should act like they are 6′ tall.

    @athiesticon

Because they don’t believe their own theories. Even if they don’t admit it to themselves they understand deep down that they are really just tools of manipulation and social control, and not actual truth.
