Burning the candle at both ends

Maybe the point has been made before, but what does it say about our society that people are now legally considered some degree of dependent on their parents until the age of 26 and also now nearly automatically swept into the fold of the largest special interest group in the history of the world – the American Association of Retired Persons – at the age of 50?

I don’t need to do the math for you, but I’ll repeat the number:  24 years!  Not every individual will sit on their parents insurance until 26 and few will begin reaping the rewards of AARP membership (except maybe restaurant and movie ticket discounts), but from a macro/trendline point of view, a cultural ethos is being calcified whereby taking > making, relying upon > relied upon.

    Cradle to grave.

It’s the inevitable result of a society in which resources are abundant enough that “redistribution” is not (immediately, at least) a death sentence. Compassion motivates us to open the door, set bad precedents, all because we draw our tribal circles a little too far.

And then the trousered apes start flinging poo everywhere.

    couple of points

    1. this is me. yes, i know i suck but i can’t help it. i’m barley literate. i’d kill myslef and quit wasting the oxygen if i had any courage or honour

    2. ironic isn’t it that Societies of Color do not have such unhealthy societies, Societies of Color are masculine almsot to a fault. that is why i consider hbd such an insane theory

  3. PA 11/20/2012 at 6:37 pm

Anti-racist, you revealed yourself as not being a liberal white guy by talking that Yakub stuff. SWPLs don’t believe in that mythology; most never heard about it because only black-power types and race-realist know about it. You’re Firepower or OneSTDV, aren’t you?

  4. anti-racist 11/20/2012 at 6:57 pm

no i am not those 2 guys

    what would it matter anyway?

“ironic isn’t it that Societies of Color do not have such unhealthy societies, Societies of Color are masculine almsot to a fault. that is why i consider hbd such an insane theory”

White societies were “masculine to a fault” as well, until the rot from within of Jewish Leftism corroded them. In fact, up until WWI white society strode the earth and easily squashed all the inconsequential brown and black people and their failed societies. Then, thanks to Jewish financier manipulation, the white world committed mass suicide in the trenches, and the result is what we have today.

  6. Average Man 11/20/2012 at 8:40 pm

    peterike,

Why do you hate Jews? Don’t give me any rhetoric, just the facts. No fancy language (corrosion, mass suicide, etc.) I want to honestly know why you hate Jewish people. I’m here to listen. Just don’t bullshit me.

  7. peterike 11/20/2012 at 9:10 pm

Average man, I don’t hate Jewish people per se. A good number of them are just hard working schlubs like me, and they don’t do me any harm whatsoever.

However, a very significant number of Jews are openly enemies of me and white Western civilization in general. Whether it’s criminal bankster financiers, Jewish pornographers, radical writers and academics like Susan Sontag declaring whites the cancer of the human race, smug corrosive “comics” like Bill Maher or Jon Stewart, press owning Leftist propagandists like the Sulzbergers, Hollywood trash merchants, radical feminists…. on and on it goes. If I were to draw up a list of enemies of civilization, both current and historically, the list would be rife with Jews, in proportions far beyond their numbers. Right from the days of the Communist revolution, they have been in the forefront of the most destructive political and — even more importantly — intellectual movements of the past century or so.

Not that they don’t have allies among the WASP elites and others, but if you removed the Jewish influence from the last 100+ years, the world is a vastly different place, and far far better place. Would we also lose a lot of science, art, and so on? Yes. I would take that trade in a second.

I don’t know what it is that drives so many Jews to be so hostile to the societies they live in, but if you hate the Left and see it as a destructive force, and you look at the people behind the Left, you have to acknowledge than an extraordinary number of them are Jewish. In short, without the Jewish influence the Left is a fringe movement of a few crazy Puritan WASPs, getting nowhere, accomplishing nothing.

Now instead of me explaining my “problem” with Jews, why doesn’t anybody ever ask them why they hate Western civilization so much?

I have no way of knowing if a majority of Jews fall into this category, though at the very least a majority certainly vote Democratic. Jews are the driving force that got Obama elected.

So it’s not that I have a problem with Jews as such (I couldn’t care less about the religious aspect of it all). I have a problem with Leftists. And a great many Leftists, and most of the most influential and powerful ones, happen to be Jewish. Why shouldn’t I have a problem with people who want to destroy me?

The problem with a lot of social conservative moral arguments about handouts is that it simply reflects a deep rooted resentment with the social conservative’s own life station. In a good, booming economy with plenty of job opportunities such reforms are unnecessary and frowned upon (like raising taxes) but in an economy where employment is hard to find trying to dull the costs associated with basic living provides a compelling moral argument because if you got a job in a good economy with less competition you’re entirely hypocritical in your argument. The fact that you were lucky to inherit a social context which was easier to manage adds an important layer to the argument over welfare. It’s entirely possible that a more qualified, harder working person out of college is doing more than you did when you were looking for employment and finding less opportunity.

You’ve done this before; either whining or blithely misunderstanding certain topics and using it as a platform to air out your grievances. The big headphone article was one, and this is another. It’s not that you don’t write well or don’t have points to make, but keep the butthurt to your diary rather than on a public blog. I think if you open your mind your arguments will become clearer and the tinge of reactionary emotional outbursts will minimize. You have points to make, but acknowledge the existence of the other side rather than preach to the choir.

Welcome to the wonderful world of feminism meets automation.

The net reality is that the supply of labor exceeds the demand for it and this puts pressure on wages. Of course since wages are the only means to generate demand other than redistribution you can see where this is leading.

And note there are no solutions that don’t involve boots in necks, work sharing, social credit, mandatory retirement all that stuff require force and by libertarian and economic liberal standards theft.

Now certainly we can just let it ride, this is very dangerous. The lack of demand will push the security mechanism into penury too (no demand means no tax revenue generated) and leave the state much less functional. we know what happens there (c.f a hundred nations or so) and its not pleasant for anyone.

Heck the best case scenario is what we have in Japan and Europe, no babies. Thats the best case. The,middle is Mexico meets Russia or the like, dramatically lower life expectancy and lower personal safety. The worst, Rwanda on the North

fact is people need regular steady income to have a family, babies aren’t free and social continuity must be planned for and paid for. To paraphrase Devils Advocate in the connected world everyone is running out of suckers and a future for whatever society must be paid for.

How we can get a group of banding tribal primates to do this, well thats the question isn’t it.

However, a very significant number of Jews are openly enemies of me and white Western civilization

There was a Michael Medved article in Commentary that basically said the thing unifying American Jews was a reflexive hatred of Christianity. Which is something so antisemitic only a Jew could have had it published.

    Spoos for the win.
And when 99 percent plus of us are replaced with automation, we’ll be happy for the precedent being set. At least for awhile. I can see both utopias and dystopias from this scenerio…

The AARP is kind of sad and pathetic, to be frank. I mean really – do they have no sense of empathy for the burden that is going to fall on GenX and GenY because of unsustainable entitlements? The commercials they ran during the campaign were just malicious lies, that’s all there is to it. Surely some of them are smart enough to know the score, so I guess I have to assume that they’re just shameless (Original indictment against boomers, I know, although to be fair the elderly generation deserves some blame for this as well).

  16. Cheshirecat 11/21/2012 at 3:11 am

Those AARP (every time I see that acronym I think of “The World According To Garp”) fuckers started sending me material when I was 35! Of course, I keep throwing it in the trash…

So what is your solution Chuck? Should people go without Healthcare? We should have universal healthcare with the option to upgrade service if you can afford it.

We need pavements and bike paths thru out the suburbs. No shade Chuck, but you mid westerners and Southerners sure do spread out wide.

Forget the wacky diets and eat less, more vegetables, drink few calories, walk walk walk including up stairs and you will thin out naturally. It will help keep healthcare costs down too.
