I don’t understand why people thought Hispanics were natural conservatives. One need only look at the crazy left-wing politicians who win elections in south of the border to see that Hispanics are naturally collectivists.
Obsidian’s concern for lack of statistical proof is charming when he can use it to muddy the waters, because it’s a good bet his concern does not extend to the actual statistical proof he pretends to value, like FBI data on crime rates by race.
Obviously, some generalizations drawn from day to day observation are not going to be codified into law by statistical precision, either because data crunchers haven’t got around to it or because, as you noted, some real life phenomena are innately difficult to statistically model. So what normal humans do is form opinions and arrange their lives according to what their eyes and ears tell them, and in this case most people agree, in private if not in public and by their actions if not by their words, that a disproportionate number of cat-callers are non-asian minorities. 90% of the time, normal human observation does not lead people astray, and science comes around to confirming people’s reasonable accounts of the world around them.

Reality: blacks of both sexes are the most privileged groups in the history of humanity since Egyptian sun-gods. White men (and white women too, they just don’t know it yet) are the most disenfranchised group in America.
I always kind of liked Obsidian, despite all his shenanigans; genial personality, no complexes, likes being black. But over the past six years of blogging, I’ve come to understand and truly dislike the black talented tenth — the small fraction of blacks whose very existence is dependent on white good will, and yet they are consumed with a smoldering envy and hate for whites. This describes pretty much all black bloggers and commenters who write grammaticaly-correct posts in this ‘sphere.
Obsidian statistical demands are simply an avoidance strategy.
Black males engage in animalistic harassment and violence against women to much higher degrees than do White or Asian males. Fact.
And this verbal harassment of women on the street is almost a black male point of honor.

PA, you’re distorting the definitions of the words “disenfranchised” and “privileged”.
white men are at the extremes, but i think that it’s more correct to say that whites are marginalized while blacks are granted sympathy. economically and politically, whites aren’t disenfranchised. culturally, in many ways, white men are selling off other white men. offering lower-status white men up as reparations for past grievances.

I couldn’t disagree more with most of what you wrote. There is no notion of “reparations” or “grievances” in play on the part of elite whites or anymore else. In that vein, we have to reframe those very notions moving forward, or we’re stuck clinging to right-liberalism while washed away by left-liberalism. Blacks in America, going back to slavery era, are beneficiaries of white civilization. Every legal and cultural concession they’ve gotten since the Civil War has been (1) ridiculously incommesurate with their contribution to our civilizational, and (2) provided at direct and compounded cost to whites. That is all for now.
PA, I don’t consider that a privilege by any means especially in the way that it’s most often used. By your definition of privilege, you are correct. But at the same time I wouldn’t consider something which ends up hindering a group and creating a false sense of security to be much of a privilege.
I also completely reject the argument you’re hinting at that blacks should thank whites for bringing them here on slave ships. To go to the most personal level, regardless of whatever benefits me and my family would receive if we were hypothetically captured by a superior group of people whose society would end up benefiting me and my progeny in absolute terms, I would not be willing to give up my autonomy, especially to people who don’t look like me.

From my point of view colonial policies have pretty much universally enriched the areas being colonized. Whether that’s Hong Kong, India, the Americas, etc. Similarly, it’s unquestionable that blacks in modern America live a lifestyle that is far better in many ways than they would have had had their ancestors remained in Africa. As a white guy with 140+ IQ who is struggling in this economy, I can’t help but feel like blacks are privileged. Had I been black, I would have gotten into any college of my choice, paid for entirely by the state and scholarships, and upon graduation I would have been set for life in any profession I desired.

The original point Chuck raised was the usual hypocrisy of the feminazis who call out certain behaviour as bad while refusing to identify the main culprits – ie black men and (in certain of the streets of Baltimore where you appear to reign supreme as King of the Dogs) you.
There are no racial statistics for cat calling – and until a Bureau for that purpose is established we have to go with common sense and experience (and for you Google).

Not sure how to respond to your comment, really. I am not in any sense “jealous” of white men. From where I sit, white men, as a demographic, are beginning to revert to the mean while guys like me are on the upswing. I’ve done a lot after being given so little in life initially. I live a good life—I have no one to be jealous of. I urge you to look at some of my past posts on Obsidian’s blog, The Spearhead, Roissy, etc—I’ve been plenty tough on white people but I’ve made it clear that white men get something of a bum rap. I considered myself to be very considered and even-handed toward them—after all, they’re my brothers, too.
