Hey, I am a college student and the Obama administration’s Title IX “Dear Colleague” letter is something I’d like to see you address. It’s being interpreted as a mandate by some such that all school’s would need to expel students accused of sexual assault on the “beyond a preponderance of evidence” standard of proof (ie 50% more likely than not). Interesting Zimmerman story. First off GZ is an octoroon, second, the police recommended he get a gun, third, he was asked to take on the neighborhood watch duties. Finally, as a black neighbor of his pointed out, it wasn’t Tom Brokaw doing the crimeing it was young black men.
PS Reuters seems to be the only news organization doing real in-depth reporting on this, everybody else is superficial and inflammatory.

It was a sentiment that carried on in King’s life. Despite future run-ins with the law and struggles with, King was an active civil rights leader and preacher of pacifism and forgiveness. Years after his beating and the subsequent trial, when asked if he’d forgiven the officers who nearly killed him, King had this to say:
Yes, I’ve forgiven them, because I’ve been forgiven many times,” he said. “My country’s been good to me … This country is my house, it’s the only home I know, so I have to be able to forgive — for the future, for the younger generation coming behind me, so … they can understand it and if a situation like that happened again, they could deal with it a lot easier.”
